A globe’s distance from Dallas to Germany

is much shorter than you are from me

so fold half the map

and use just one tack

and together as pins we can be.

But pins can’t show love enough for me,

and I’m still stuck on this side of the sea

So hop on your boat

I’ll pray that it floats

and together again soon we will be.
